South West London Ladies Winter Padel Ladder
Padel Ladder Competition Rules:
Challenging:
Players may only challenge opponents ranked up to 3 places above them on the ladder.
Challenges must be accepted and played within 7 days.
Scheduling Matches:
Both players should agree on a match date, time, and location within the 7-day window.
If the higher-ranked player is unavailable within the timeframe, the lower-ranked player may claim a default win.
Match Format:
Matches are played in a best-of-3 sets format, following standard padel scoring.
Tiebreaks will be used at 6-6 in each set.
Results:
If the challenger wins, they swap places with the defeated player on the ladder.
If the challenger loses, both players retain their current positions.
All results must be reported within 24 hours of the match conclusion.
Declining Challenges:
Players may decline challenges only if they have a valid reason (e.g., injury or pre-scheduled absence). However, repeated refusals without valid cause may result in a default loss or temporary removal from the ladder.
Activity:
To maintain an active ladder, players must play at least one match every 2 weeks. Failure to do so may result in being moved down a place or temporarily removed from the rankings.
Fair Play:
Sportsmanship is key. Any unsporting behavior or repeated cancellations will be reviewed by the organizers and may result in penalties, including forfeits or removal from the ladder.
Let the games begin, and may the best player climb to the top!
